DAY 2: APPROACHING UMBRIA BY FERRARI
Route: Civitavecchia, Marmore Falls, Terni, Norcia
Morning
Our private Tour Director, an expert Ferrari driver, will introduce our guests to the world of Ferrari, clarify the finer details of the controls, explain the differences between the various models (Ferrari 488 Spider, Ferrari California T, Ferrari 458 Speciale, Ferrari 458 Spider) and the engines (8-cylinder and new 8-cylinder turbo) and most importantly, give guidance on how to handle the F1 paddle-gear shifting behind the steering wheel.
All luggage will be transported separately.
The tour starts in direction of Umbria, to reach the Marmore Falls before lunchtime.
The Marmore Falls has ancient artificial origins: the Romans diverted the course of the Velino River towards the 165-metre high drop off creating what is now a popular tourist attraction.
Terni it is not only the city of the steelworks, of iron and fire. For those with enough curiosity to discover it, Terni reserves immense surprises deriving from a three-thousand-year history. It is a rare example in Umbria of a modern city perfectly integrated with the more ancient part of the city. Terni is surrounded by countryside that has enchanted visitors for centuries.
Terni is also the city of Saint Valentine, the patron saint of lovers all over the world. His basilica, containing his tomb, is the subject of continuous pilgrimages, while every year the entire city dedicates important events to its patron saint.
Afternoon
A house in an Umbrian palace: this is the atmosphere you live in this charming residence of the 16th century, that re-opens its doors in Norcia, in the heart of Umbria, after a careful restoring. Fusion of design and tradition, simplicity and quality, this is the secret of this new elegant project promoted and realized by Vincenzo and Federico Bianconi, the last generation of a family who has been offering Hospitality and Foodservice since 1850.
Norcia was founded by the Sabini behind the Sibillini Mountains and already in the II century B.C. became a growing Roman municipium. The town of Norcia, surrounded by still intact walls of the 1300s, is rich of historical-artistic evidence and, in addition to its beauty and to nature trails, offers a rich, genuine cuisine and typical products.

DAY 3: A FULL DAY IMMERSED IN HISTORY
Route: Norcia, Perugia, Spello, Assisi, Norcia
Morning
A full day to discover the history of the ancient and spectacular region passing through key cities such as Perugia and Assisi.
The first stop is in Perugia, capital city of the Umbria region, which covers a high hilltop and part of the valleys around the area. The history of Perugia goes back to the Etruscan period. The city is also known as a university town, with the University of Perugia and the University for Foreigners. There are annual festivals and events: the Eurochocolate Festival (October), the Umbria Jazz Festival, and the International Journalism Festival (in April). Perugia is a well-known artistic centre of Italy. The famous painter nicknamed Perugino, native of Perugia, decorated the local Sala del Cambio with a beautiful series of frescoes; he was the teacher of Raphael, the great Renaissance artist. Symbol of Perugia is the griffin, which can be seen in the form of plaques and statues on buildings around the city.
Creative, occasionally sophisticated cuisine is served in an elegant, rustic-style dining room or on the panoramic terrace. Full use is made of traditional Umbrian ingredients.
Afternoon
Next stage is Assisi, a medieval city built on a hill, birthplace of Saint Francis, closely associated with the work of the Franciscan Order. Its medieval art masterpieces, such as the Basilica of San Francesco and paintings by Cimabue, Pietro Lorenzetti, Simone Martini and Giotto, have made Assisi a fundamental reference point for the development of Italian and European art and architecture.
