DAY 1: WELCOME TO VAL D’ORCIA, TUSCANY

• You will be met at Rome – Fiumicino International Airport and transferred by Mercedes S-Class to five-star luxury Fonteverde Tuscan Resort & Spa in southern Tuscany.
• Arrival and check-in at Fonteverde Tuscan Resort & Spa. Accommodation in Junior Suite.

A Medicean residence restored to its former beauty. The hotel offers rooms, richly decorated premises with terraces overlooking fields and verdant hills. A blend of Renaissance aura and present-day comfort in a hotel where luxury engenders relaxation.

Afternoon dedicated to Spa & Relax: the mineral-rich, natural warm spring waters that emerge here have multiple therapeutic benefits for the organism. Take advantage of the thermal pool, the bioaquam circuit (with its various hydromassages) or any other spa treatment offered by this highly reputable spa resort set in the midst of the rolling hills of the Val d’Orcia (southern Tuscany).

Evening

• Dinner in San Casciano dei Bagni - Restaurant suggestion: Ferdinando I (Fonteverde Tuscan Resort & Spa).

Taste the excellence of Tuscan cuisine: natural ingredients offering refined products of indisputable quality with particular attention to detail combine to give delicious gourmet and Spa Cuisine recipes, and again... a series of typical local restaurants offering traditional Tuscan cuisine with regional ingredients like olive oil, Porcini mushrooms, Pienza cheese, Brunello wine and Chianina meat.

DAY 2: VAL D’ORCIA TOUR BY FERRARI

Route: San Casciano dei Bagni, Pienza, Montepulciano, Montalcino, San Casciano dei Bagni

Morning

• After breakfast, meeting with the Tour Director.

Our private Tour Director, an expert Ferrari driver, will introduce our guests to the world of Ferrari, clarify the finer details of the controls, explain the differences between the various models (Ferrari 488 Spider, Ferrari California T, Ferrari 458 Speciale, Ferrari 458 Spider) and the engines (8-cylinder and new 8-cylinder turbo) and most importantly, give guidance on how to handle the F1 paddle-gear shifting behind the steering wheel.

• Departure by Ferrari for a tour of Val d’Orcia

After a short Ferrari practice-drive, you will leave by Ferrari heading towards splendid Val d’Orcia. Our Tour Director leads the way at the wheel of his powerful Alfa Romeo Giulia, guiding the Ferrari along the most exciting hilly and curving roads of southern Tuscany.

During the whole journey, the Ferrari and the Tour Director’s car will be constantly in touch by mobile radio system.

Pleasant drive along the panoramic and enchanting roads of Val d’Orcia. The roads carefully selected to ensure maximum driving pleasure while enjoying the beautiful landscape of southern Tuscany.

The itinerary for this full Ferrari driving day includes the visits of the most beautiful places in Val d’Orcia, as Pienza, Montepulciano and Montalcino. Whilst driving, our guests will be able to enjoy outstanding views of the famous Tuscan vineyards on either side of the road. Mediaeval villages and the beautiful natural landscape offer an overwhelming feast for the eyes.

First stop is Pienza, Pope Pius’ II birthplace, located high on a hillside. Meant to be the ideal Renaissance town, Pienza comprises such beauties as a white stone cathedral, Palazzo Piccolomini with its fine courtyard, Palazzo Borgia, a graceful Piazza.

The tour heads towards Montepulciano, archetypical Tuscan mediaeval town built at the summit of a hill as well and surrounded by walls and fortifications. The place is famous for its Vino Nobile, one of Italy’s major red wines.

• 13.00: Lunch in Montepulciano - Restaurant suggestions: La Grotta, located in front of the beautiful St. Biagio Temple; Le Logge del Vignola, in the centre of Montepulciano.

Afternoon

• 15.00: Departure to Montalcino by Ferrari along the magnificent Mille Miglia route

Arrival in Montalcino, reached meandering through the vineyards that provide the grapes for the production of the famous Brunello. You will taste this top-class red wine at the estate of Biondi Santi (subjet to availability) after visiting the cellar of this masterful wine producer.

A visit of the historical centre of Montalcino with its fort and the churches of Sant’Agostino and Sant’Egidio is also a must.

The famous Mille Miglia route offers a breathtakingly picturesque panorama, the enjoyment of which is enhanced by the pure pleasure of driving over an amazing succession of rolling hills and round never-ending curves!

At the wheel of his car, the Tour Director guides you through this vivid land of enchanting towns and villages. The charm of southern Tuscany is encapsulated in the stunning Val d’Orcia, a picture-postcard valley, designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site due to its colourful landscape, dotted with green cypress trees under an amazing blue sky. This truly unique experience offers a wealth of memories to treasure.

• 18.00: Arrival at Fonteverde Tuscan Resort & Spa.
• Time at disposal for Spa & Relax.

Evening

• Dinner in Cetona - Restaurant suggestion: La Frateria di Padre Eligio Mondo X.

La Frateria di Padre Eligio Mondo X, 25 minutes from the Fonteverde Hotel, has been created in one of the most beautiful monuments ever built by man - St. Francis’ Convent - Founded by St. Francis in 1212, an unchanged example of the life in convent in the Dark Ages.

• Return to the hotel after dinner.
• Overnight at Fonteverde Tuscan Resort & Spa 5* (San Casciano dei Bagni, Siena).

Guests can drive the Ferrari for up to 200 km during the day

DAY 3: ARRIVEDERCI ITALIA!

Morning

• A private transfer by Mercedes S-Class will lead you to the discovery of the magnificent landscape of Umbria.

Halt at Orvieto, a perfect example of integration between nature and man’s work. Perched on a plateau of tufa rock, with the outline of its world famous Duomo visible for miles around, the city of Orvieto has adapted to the needs of the modern-day tourist by transforming itself into a car-free haven. Access to the city in fact is either via the funicular that runs from the railway station below up to the old town centre, passing directly by the

Albornoz fortress, or up the system of escalators dug into the cliff-side from a large parking lot located further down.

• 13.00: Lunch in the centre of Orvieto - Restaurant suggestion: Il Giglio d’Oro.

A great view of the Duomo is coupled with superb food. Eggplant is transformed into elegant custard with black truffles, lamb roasted in a crust of bread is delicately seasoned with a tomato cream sauce. The wine cellar includes some rare vintages.

• After lunch, private transfer by Mercedes S-Class to Rome – Fiumicino International Airport for your return flight and the end of the activities.
