Anar the Persian word for the red pomegranate is native to Iran and has been cultivated there for at least 4,000 years. It is considered the fruit of heaven and was probably the real “Apple” in the Garden of Eden, as the ancients commended it.

Among them was Prophet Suleiman, who had a pomegranate orchard.
